Systems could be included in your school’s annual Devolved Formula Capital allocation. Or you might find that the School Development Grant (Grant 101), which supports improvements in teaching and learning leading to higher standards of attainment for pupils, is the most appropriate source of funds. Our experienced Regional Managers will be able to discuss your particular situation with you to help prepare your submission and get the most benefit from these schemes.
SEN
Access for children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) is an important part of Government policy – and the Schools Access Initiative (SAI) provides funding to mainstream and voluntary aided schools to make them more accessible to disabled children. It can be used to install PC Werth Soundfield systems in classrooms to benefit hearing-impaired pupils. Between 2006-08, £200m is being made available (£100m for local authorities). In 2007-08, £20m is available for voluntary aided schools, and £80m for mainstream schools.
Health and Safety for teachers
If a teacher has, or develops, a voice-related health problem then funding can be obtained for equipment and/or school modifications to compensate for the disability, under the Access To Work initiative. A PC Werth Soundfield system qualifies and is the perfect solution to voice-related problems affecting teachers.
